Merry yuletide

A little late but merry christmas to everyone.  Hope you had a good one.  Also best wishes for the new year. Will have some fresh models coming up soon after a very long drought.  No drought weather wise here, we have had rain, rain and a little more rain leading to road closers and allsorts.  I am planning to have a web site soon so will keep everyone informed on that. Hand is all better now but do have to be careful.
Happy new year

Long break

Haven't really been making many models at the moment because I hurt my hand, which makes sewing a little sore.  It is getting better slowly so have just started up again.  I do get very despondent with these but I could not tell you why.  I like to make all sorts of things but never feel as if I make a very good job.  I keep thinking of showing my models, but tend to lack the motivation.  I think I should just go with the flow really.  The cold short days are very uninspiring, I should stop making excuses really.  I hope to have some pics soon of a horse I made to 1/9th scale out of calico. I starting her some time back, she has been waiting for her mane and tail, she keeps looking at me begging to be finished.  I think that I will show her.  I will put her up for sale, but I very much doubt the I will get what I want for her.  She took a long time to make.

Hope everyone is ok.  And thank you for sticking with me.

I'm still here

I'm still here.  I have wobbled abit with my model making.  Thinking that it's all a waste of time.  But I think I am starting to come back to it.  I do miss it when I'm not making them.  I might make a bigger model, 1/9th in faux suede.  I think I will put them up sale on ebay because I run out of room for them.  So if any one is interested I will put a link to the listing when I feature any new model.  I was also thinking of going to some model horse shows and having a stall there.  I'm not working at the moment so if I could make a little bit of money from them would be a bonus.

Arab overload

Have been asked to make more Dapple grey Arabs, so photos to follow, also a Gypsy Vanner.  I have been busy indoors because the weather has been so bad.  At least it helps me focus, because as you know I have trouble with that.  I have been working on a crochet Tartan blanket aswell, not sure if anyone would be interest in seeing that when it's done.  I have never managed to finish any of the blankets so far, but really hope I can with this one.  It's will be a real achievement.  I have seen a real horse for sale that I can not afford.  I keep think about him, and soon he will be sold.  I think I will make a model of him to remind me of him.  Have a Shetland, Arab and Morgan to make plus a needle felted Deer hound, so will be very busy over the next couple of weeks.

Would like to thank everyone who give me lovely comments.  I do publish them, but not sure if you can see them.

Well without further a do here are the latest felties.

First up we have one of the Arabs. very much like one I have made before.

Next is the Gypsy Vanner Cob.
And finally the other Arab.

Full steam ahead.

I have been rushed of my feet with regards to making my felties.  I have had a lot of commission come in all at once, so busy, busy, busy.  Also had the cosplay weekend which was really good but very warm.  The only nice weather we get in ages and it happened to be when we didn't really want it.  I managed to stay in my costume, but my brother only managed about 2 hours, it was really hot.  We just have rain everyday now.  Well here is the long list of horse I have been making.
First three up are non commission felties.
Here is the lovely Saxon the heavy horse.
Next is Fleur who is kind of like a Morgan horse
Here is my first strawberry roan pony Micky
Now these next models are all commissions. First is a sweet little Exmoor pony.

This is a nice heavy Clydesdale
Here is a nice grey Arab going to the same home as the Clydesdale.

Told you there was loads.  Next up is another one of my lovely Friesian.
Thew!  I think thats it.  It's been really busy but very enjoyable.  Making another commission dapple grey Arab at the moment.  I have been making a non commission donkey as well.
Oh well hope you enjoy my latest makes.  Thank you for spending the time to pop by.  Have a good week.

Really busy

Haven't been posting enough, sorry about that.  I have been busy with some commission felties.  I do have two made and ready to go up for sale, and one nearly finished, but just haven't had the time.
We went cosplaying at the weekend.  It was far to hot to be in costume, but I did manage ok.  My brother couldn't last very long before he started to over heat.  It was a really good weekend. It is so nice to have some nice weather after all the rain we have had. I love the heat.
Well when I have caught up with my orders I will post pics.  Hope everyone is enjoying the heat wave and looking forward to the Jubilee.

First foal of spring

Very busy week this week.  Not much sewing has got done.  Have managed to finish my mare and foal, plus a commission order so not to bad. I have made the first foal this year.  I thought that it would be great for spring to have a couple of foals.
Well without further ado here are my new makes.
Up first are Savannah the mare and Sky the foal
And here is a very hairy cob vanner again.  This is a commission.

Hairy Cobness

Have made two lovely Cob Vanners this week, one's a nice trimmed show cob and the other a commission order with all hair blazing.  Have had a really quite week over all, so not much to say other than to show my new makes.  So here they are.  First up is the show Cob who I have called Shelly, she has a hogged mane and is all ready for the show ring.
Next is a custom order of a very beautiful hairy stallion Vanner.

Full of feltie goodness

Here we are again with even more feltie.  I have been working with wool felt again.  It has such a beautiful feel to it, almost cool to touch.  I can't believe how many colours you can get. It produces a lot firmer model.   I think I will make clothes for the rest of my dolls, I have a Mum, Dad and two girls.  Mum has got her clothes and didn't turn out that bad really, she sits very well when riding my felties.

Here are the two latest makes.  first up is Jenaveve made in love straw coloured wool felt.

Second is the mega sweet Shetland pony Pickles

Spotty equine

Mixed bag of weather this week.  Last week we had a mini heat wave, now some parts of the country have had snow.  It is so bizarre, in the next breath we are on a hose pipe ban as of tomorrow.  I think the last hose pipe ban we had was in 1970 which I can just about remember ( showing my age now lol)

This my make this week, the lovely and very spotty Appaloosa Parker.  I have another model nearly finished, she will be posted in the next couple of days.

Hope everyone has a good week, and enjoy the Easter break.

Two new ones this week

Did the fun sports relief run yesterday.  Managed to get round three miles in 28 minutes.  I look exhausted in the photo but I'm not.  I jog three miles three times a week, so not a problem for me.  I just don't take a very good photo.  I look like that all the time lol.  It was great fun with lots of great people there all doing their bit.  Here I am.

Two new makes this week.  Have been working quite hard on these lately, and really enjoying myself.  I do tend to go off into a little world of my own.  I always say that these felties are my meditation.  Looking forward to taking some of them off to a model Julip show at the end of April.  Will get loads of pics to show everyone.
Here is the first of the two his name is Minstrel

Next is Astrid the Morgan mare.

Hope you like the new makes this week.  More to come as always.  Off to the Tate gallery Friday which I am really looking forward to.  Hubby is off this week so hoping to go to a couple of places.  Hope everyone has a good week and getting the lovely weather.

Darcy and Pip

Busy day today what with it being mothers day, hope all you mothers out there had a lovely day.  Took my lovely Mum to the garden center, then back and did a roast dinner.  I think she had a good day.  My lot gave me a lovely card and a little teddy bear.  I didn't get a break from cooking and a like.  I must admit I prefer to do it my way.

I have managed to complete two felties this week, nearly three. Just need to but the mane and tail on the next one.  I have been mega focused this week, which has been lovely.  Well less chatting and more pics.  Here they are.

First up is Darcy the gorgeous Palomino.

Next is the lovely little Pip
Hope you like these new equines and have a fab week.

Exmoor pony X

Here is my latest make this week.  Zac is an Exmoor pony cross.  I say cross because he came out a little to big to be a true Exmoor,  but he doesn't mind, he is very happy little chap.  He measures 6 1/2 inches tall but this is because he is pulling his chin in. Here he is in all his glory.

Arab Mare Silver

As in the last post I promised pics of the Arab I was making.  No feathers with this one lol.  I loved painting this one.  I think Arabs are natural posers.  I am make a Dartmoor pony next, only thing is I think it is coming out to big, the paint job has gone well.  I will post pics of him in the next couple of days.  Here are pictures of Silver the Arab mare.

another Feathered friend

Here is the next feathered nag, Gypsy Vanner cob Poppet.  I am now making an Arab so getting away from the feathered theme for awhile.  I love cobs.  I think I will make a couple of foals for the spring. It will be nice to have a couple babies on the Tawney yard.  Well here is Poppet.

Meet Louie the Clydesdale.

Here is my first latest feathered feltie.  This is the lovely Clydesdale Louie.  I have a vanner following behind, then I think an Arab would be good.  I am really enjoying all my crafts at the moment, I think I can safely say I am addicted to sewing and painting.  I love to be really busy all of the time.  Thankfully the snow has gone and things are starting to warm up slightly.  Well here he is.

Thank you for lovely comments

Just a little note to thank everyone for their beautiful comments.  It really helps to spur me on. I have a bit of a feather thing going on at the moment.  I have a Clydesdale in the making and a Vanner.  They will be flashing their feather shortly, so keep a look out.  Once again thank you lovely people for, well being lovely. Little Donkey

The Snow is going, I hope.  Should be back to a normal week next week (apart from the car).  Have had a week of sewing and painting.

I have finished this little guy who was sitting in my sewing cupboard unstuffed and just waiting really.  I do have a soft spot for Donkeys, I think everyone does really.  So here he is, I named him Pedro.

Snowy week

Well snow has stopped play, really upsetting my fung shway.  Having to go to the gym because it is to icy to jog out.  I do find the gym mind numbing.  Car has decided it doesn't like the cold and packed up.  To be quite honest with you I am enjoying not driving.  I think the snow has gone to my head because I decided to make a Unicorn which is something out the ordinary.  I think Lottie was getting lonely being the only  mythical creature around here.  I have made her to the same scale as the normal horses, just a bit of fun really. Well here she is.

A Sheltland and Suffolk Punch this week

Well the snow is here, which I hate.  I can't do all my normal things out and about.  I hope that it will melt pretty quick.  Not missing driving though, that has been a nice change. Went to see War horse yesterday.  Thankfully we went early enough to miss the snow.

Two make this week, well not really new.  They have been around and unfinished for a couple of month.  These two I started before December, then Christmas got in the way.

First up is Chanel the Suffolk Punch.  I think this breed is really beautiful, (well I do feel that way about all horse really but you get your fav's don't you!) . So here she is, ridden beautifully by Sarah, who will refuse to wear a riding hat.
Next is the ultra sweet Shetland pony Smudge.  Unfortunately I don't have a rider small enough to ride my Shetlands, I hope to have one soon, I think that will make them look mega sweet.

Looks like I'v Been busy

Now I know this looks like I have been really busy but I haven't really.  Pixie and Prince have been knocking about for a couple of month, I just haven't got round to taking their photos.  Some one wanted a Friesian after seeing my last one so he was made this week, and Lottie has been around awhile, only now she has wing which someone wanted.  I think I may have ago at making some fantasy horse.  Well here are the photos.

First up is the commission Friesian, lead by the fabulous Rupert.  I think he was having a job because this was a very strong chap.

Next up is Lottie who has grown some wings

This is Prince who has been on our yard for sometime now

And last is Haflinger mare Pixie, she also has been rattling around for sometime.  I think with the busy christmas period these guys have been out at grass, which they have really enjoyed.  Back in work now.

The drought is over

At long last I am moving again.  It has been ages since I posted on here.  I have been really busy, what with christmas and new year.  I feel back to my normal self and routine.  I have found it really hard to get back into the swing of things.  Here are a pair of commission portraits I have just finished.  They are of one horse, the owner wanted two portraits, one for her and one for her daughter.  I have named them the terrible twins lol.
